[WTS] Rolled gold vintage De La Rue Dainty circa 1937 XXF - B 14k gold Semiflex nib

£185

A rare beautiful rolled gold De La Rue Dainty fountain pen with a needlepoint Semiflex nib.

The pen is in excellent condition. There is no chip/dent/crack. There is little brassing on the barrel next to the lever and a very small amount on the cap. The barrell has an engraving of the previous owner. Overall condition rating [B].

It comes with a 14ct gold nib that is extra extra fine that flexes upto Broad. I will label it as semiflex. The feeder is made of ebonite and keeps up with the ink flow perfectly.

It's a pocket sized pen ,so not suitable for large hand unless you use it with the cap posted.

Please see the writing sample video and photos here:

I made a mistake in the writing sample. Instead of Dainty I wrote Onoto by mistake.

The pen has been serviced recently and a new ink sac installed. It's in perfect working order. The nib has been closely inspected and ensured to give a very nice writing experience.

Please Note:

I am a medical doctor by profession with a full-time day job. I do this purely out of passion for fountain pens, specially vintage flex pens. I can safely say that I understand flex nibs and have owned a lot of them over the years.

If you have been looking for a vintage pen with a flex nib, please drop me a text. If it is not this particular pen, I might be able to find the right pen at the right price for you as I am trimming down my massive collection. Thanks.
