I call this style slim - though they are pretty much the same sizing as the de-facto standard Travelers Company notebooks. These are best for 1 to 3 inserts. If you like to have more inserts than that and want one of these, please reach out via chat and we can talk about a tri-fold style that I make.
The leather is called Pueblo from the Baldalassi Carlo Tannery. It's Italian (so fancy!), full grain and full vegetable tanned. Among leathercrafters, this is a well-known and well-loved material. It's thinned to a consistent 4oz sizing which is about 1.5 mm in thickness.
On these three notebook covers, I didn't use any metal eyelets on the spine. I actually don't like them. I thought I would, but they add some rigidity and bulk to notebook. For these "slims," I think streamlined is best. That said, if you want me to add eyelets I'm happy to do so for an additional $8.

Olmo (Orangey Tan) Pueblo Travelers Standard Slim with Strap Closure
Price. $80. Price includes USPS priority shipping. CONUS only.
Condition. New [N]
Description. I have a hard and fast rule to not sell mistakes. Blemishes in leather are fine as they'll usually blend into the background with patina (and it's unavoidable anyway with high quality full grain leather), but miscuts or sloppy stitching will send something straight into the salvage pile. I almost added this one to the pile when my partner pointed out that I didn't actually mess anything up. It's just that I don't prefer the tiny bit of stitching that holds the leather closure strap to the back. It's a little too chunky for my taste, but it's not wrong or sloppy or a mistake at all. So, here it is. I do absolutely love the olmo and olive together on this one. I thought I'd like the strap closure more than I actually do. It looks SO GOOD but in use it's a little clunky. This notebook is probably better if you're using it for deliberate writing sessions, and not a quick jot down of ideas and move along kind of thing. Anyways, imma stop hurting this notebooks feelings now. Standard TN sizing, no metal grommets but the holes are well burnished on both sides. No interior pockets. I left the maker's mark stamp off of this one as I usually like them to be super discreet, but if you'd like me to but it on the back prior to shipping just let me know.
Boilerplate Stuff
All items are made by me using full grain leather, waxed thread, leather cement, and tokonole burnishing gum. Everything is cut and saddle stitched by hand. Leather is a beautiful and durable material and each piece is unique. With full grain leather products, both vegetable and chrome tanned, there will be natural variation in the leather as well as imperfections such as wrinkles, bug bites, and branding scars. I do my best to highlight the major areas in the pictures but know that you are purchasing a natural product with plenty of variation from piece to piece. Also, leather patinas. It wears in. It picks up scratches and softens and shows character as it ages. These aren’t pristine pieces and they show their use well.
I am selling items at a discount as I build up trade confirmations and good will on Pen_Swap. Payment is per Paypal G&S as per subreddit rules. Sales are within the CONUS only, for now. I will be selling online under the name Oliver Henry Leather & Pen in the near future. My name is neither Oliver nor Henry. Those names are the middle names of my kiddos. I’m Brian. Hi!
