For sale: A Parker 180, cartridge/converter, with two-sided 14k extra fine and medium nib <X|M> and gold plated “Guirlande” body.
The Parker 180 was a late 1970s early 1980s pen with some interesting “gimmicks”. It is a slim pen, and the nib has a rigid bar across the top to allow for more pressure when writing. The “180” name is due to the nib being ground on both top and bottom. Of course one can successfully “reverse write” with many fountain pens, and one could at the time as well.
For an excellent article about the Parker 180, see https://parkerpens.net/parker180.html.
The “Guirlande” (translates to “garland”) model was released in 1982, and it features a gold-plated body with an intricate and fine geometric pattern.
This particular model has some wear on the cap finial and nib collar, but is in otherwise very good condition. IMO it looks stunning. Interestingly, the pattern on the body does not add a lot to the “texture feel” of the pen. It feels smoother in the hand than it looks. It seals nicely, and both sides of the nib are “runz gud”, with the bottom <M> side being noticeably smooth. Grade B-.
The pen will ship with a short Parker cartridge as well as an empty Parker long ink cartridge for syringe refilling.
Asking for $100.00 shipped to CONUS. Shipping outside the US is possible, but buyer pays for it. All sub rules apply. Please comment publicly first.
