This is a watch you can confidently walk into any room knowing you will not see one on another wrist - Roger Dubuis Much More reference M28 in solid 18k rose gold - just 28 made! Dubuis is a master watchmaker that worked for some of the best, including Patek, for decades before forging out on his own in 1995. It was five years later, the sweet spot for neo vintage independent brands, when his line of in-house movements began, complete with the coveted Geneve seal. With the M28 you’re getting all of that, a rare conversation starter, and a whole lot of solid gold dress watch for the price of a stainless Datejust! A rarity (and one that I frankly don’t wanna part with…) complete with double boxes.

DIAL: STUNNING! Silvered oversized numerals, very art deco, this is Dubuis paying homage to Patek, specifically the reference 10. The numerals go from white to silver to almost blue depending on the light, paired with the incredible blued steel hands. Very clean, including the high curved sapphire crystal.

CASE: Solid 18K rose gold has some great presence, measuring 28MM wide x 47MM lug to lug. With the curved back, it hugs the wrist perfectly. Sharp unpolished example with nice patina forming on the gold. Wear throughout, as expected with 18K, but all in presents beautifully.

MOVEMENT: Hand wound in house caliber RD18. Seen through sapphire case back - from the Geneve seal to the incredible finishing throughout - it’s just gorgeous! Wind very smooth, with timegrapher showing 0 seconds per day and an amplitude of 267.

STRAP: Comes on a brown leather strap compete with its original solid rose gold RD buckle. Small/medium size strap, will fit up to app 7 inches. Strap had wear but still looks and feels great.

ACCESSORIES: Comes in a double Roger Dubuis box set. Outer cardboard box (with wear at the seams) and then one of the coolest inner boxes I’ve seen! Crazy inlaid wood on the outside, and a stamped leather Geneve seal write up on the inside - awesome display, looks like something out of Indiana Jones!
