This pen has passed testing and is ready for purchase. This listing is for a 1995 Parker Sonnet Cisele with an 18k gold Stub nib. This pen need some TLC when I picked it up and I have gave it just that. The nib was bent and the sterling silver was tarished and pitted. I pulled the nib and straightened it on a nib block, it writes well now but there are still marks visible on the top of the nib. This is just visual and the nib functions as expected. The body was micromeshed to get all the pitting out then polished to achieve the shine that is expected of the finish. I was not able to do this around the cap ring as it might take off the logos and such so it was left untouched. The Sonnet is also known for drying out due to poor cap seals. To combat this, I have filled the cap jewel breather hole and the inner cap with Sugru (waterproof silicone putty). The hole under the clip is still open so that suction isn't created when uncapping. The seal has been tested and the nib was fine after 24 hours, longer than that and results may very. Overall this pen is a great writer and looker. Here are more details about the pen:

• Condition: Great - No cracks, chips, dents, or dings. This is a heavy pen in a classical design that has all its little squares intact. The cap and barrel have microscratching. The section ring has some pitting that is known to happen on these models and is photo'd. The silver cap band also has some dots of plating wear, such as under the word France. The thin gold cap band is perfect. The clip and clip ring look beautiful and just have a few microscratches. The top black jewel is perfect. The imprints and hallmarks are clear. This model has had the breather hole of the cap jewel sealed with Sugru and the inner cap sealed with Sugru. The breather hole under the clip is open so suction isn't created uncapping. The nib was bent but repaired. Visually, the nib has marks from where it was bent. Functionally, it works great.
