[WTS] 3 Pilot Telescopic Long/Short Pens, 14k

Verification includes rare video!

For sale today are 3 different Pilot Telescopic Long/Short Pens. These were all released in the late 1960s and have 14k nibs that don’t show the nib size. All three pens are great writers! Each pen has a telescopic tube connected to the section which extends the pen to a full size 14+cm writer and closes down to ~13cm. The bodies are stainless steel and the sections are plastic. The date codes are etched into the back black or turquoise parts of the body. Pilot innovated a lot of fine writing tools in the 1960s and these are three great examples! All of the pens take contemporary Pilot cartridges (one included) and the Con-20/40 converters. I didn’t test the Con-50 and the Con-70 won’t fit. All sub rules apply. Please respond publicly before DMing. The writing samples are a part of the descriptions. USPS insurance & shipping included domestically. Foreign shipping at cost, after conversation.

First up is the black rounded finial capped Telescopic with a HQ19 date code. The nib on this pen is very springy and writes a wet <F> line. The nib shows tarnish and the section shows some usage, but it's purely cosmetic. It's a very nice writing pen that has years of service left in it. C+ rating, $65 CONUS insured/shipped.

***SOLD*** The next up is a springy, but slightly drier writer with turquoise finials/section and a HR29 date code. The body is in very good shape with few signs of wear. The nib is in very good condition and writes with a similar bounce, but the nib is drier than the previous pen. B rating, $70 CONUS insured/shipped.

***SOLD*** Last up is possibly an <M> nib with a IR07 date code. It writes wet and springy, but the line seems slightly wider. The body has a lightly etched crosshatch pattern, and the finials are black and flat on this pen. It's a totally different looking pent that thoughtfully displays its Showa stylings. B condition, $70 CONUS insured/shipped.
