I'm selling a nice Waterman 52V. The 52V is the short "vest pocket" version of the Waterman 52. Note that this is not a 52 1/2V-it is the same diameter as the standard Waterman 52, just shorter.

I'm going to call this a C condition pen, edged into this category by some of the imprinting being a bit weak, some wear-through on the cap plating, and a tiny bit of oxidation on the rubber. It really presents well, though, and you don't necessarily notice the oxidation unless you set it next to a true dark black pen.

The pen is in good operating condition. It received a new sac 3 years ago, and has been inked a few times since then, always with "safe" inks(usually Pelikan Blue or Black).

The 14K Waterman Ideal #2 is the real standout of this pen. I'm not going to use the "wet noodle" term, because so many people have different ideas of what that means, but will describe the behavior of the nib as best as I can. With no pressure, it writes somewhere in the XF-XXF range. It's fairly easy to keep the line width in the XF range if you so desire(I'd consider it perfectly useable for normal writing, as I have done with it) but just with normal light hand pressure you'll typically get variation in the XXF-F range.

With slightly more pressure, it will broaden out to roughly a BBB. It "snaps back" nicely when pressure is removed. This nib should be capable of gorgeous results in hands far more capable than my own.

The nib is not sprung, has no cracks, and is otherwise in good condition. I'd describe this nib as being good for intermediate flex pen users-if you've never had a flex nib before, this probably isn't for you, but if you've played with some cheaper or less responsive ones, this one is probably a great step up.

The clip is a desireable item in its own right. It is a separate add on piece, but has the Waterman globe on it(a lot of these kind of clips are aftermarket). It will fit any full diameter 52 or 54 pen.
