This pen just passed testing and is now ready for purchase. The listing is for a Mabie Todd Blackbird BB2/60 fountain pen fitted with a 14k Watermans Account nib. First off, this is a super clean vintage pen. The black hard rubber, pattern, and imprints are almost perfect. This pen must have been treated very well over the years or Mabie Todd had a special hard rubber recipe that is amazing. When found this pen had a corroded steel nib which was not original to the pen. I replaced it with a 14k Watermans Account nib that writes a smooth extra fine line. It works well with this pen and with how much ink it holds, it should write quite a lot before needing a refill. The pattern on this pen is quite unique to it as well. I can't think of another hard rubber pen that uses this styling. It really is a unique and beautiful pen. Here are some more details about the pen:

• Condition: Excellent Condition - No cracks or chips. The chasing is incredibly crisp and the hard rubber is black and shiny. No plating loss on the clip or lever filler. There are some some bitemarks at the end of the barrel. The nib is a replacement, extra fine Waterman nib which writes nicely. Otherwise, a very clean and crisp model of this pen.
