Listing Rules

When you list an item for sale on Slashmarket, you are creating a public listing that is visible to all users. To maintain the quality and safety of our marketplace, it is essential that all listings adhere to a set of standards. Our listing rules are designed to protect the integrity of the marketplace and to foster a secure, positive environment for both buyers and sellers.

All listings on Slashmarket must comply with the rules outlined below. Listings that violate these rules, our Terms of Service, or any other applicable policies will be removed from the platform.

  1. Prohibited Items

Please refer to our Prohibited Content page to ensure that your item is eligible to be listed on the marketplace.

  2. Duplicates

An identical item can only be listed once, please do not post duplicates. This policy ensures buyers have access to a diverse selection of products from various sellers.

  3. Listing Category

Select a category that best describes your item. If it fits multiple categories, you will have the option to choose additional related categories during the listing creation process.

  4. Listing Description

Write a clear and detailed title and description. Make sure your listing is accurate and consistent throughout. Do not use irrelevant keywords or clickbait titles to manipulate search results.

  5. Photos

Use photos that accurately showcase your item. Avoid low-quality or blurry images. If your item has any damage or defects, make sure they are clearly visible in the photos.

Take actual photos of your item whenever possible. Stock photos should only be used if you are selling a brand-new product in its original, unopened packaging. Do not use images downloaded from the internet unless you own the rights or have explicit permission from the copyright holder.

  6. Pricing

Price your items fairly and accurately. The listed price should be the price you are willing to accept. While you can consider trades or offers below your asking price, you may not run auctions. Your listing should not include phrases like "selling to the highest bidder" or "will let go for the right price" where your intentions are unclear.

Only list the price as $0 if you're offering the item for free.

  7. Delivery

Provide clear and accurate information about your item's location and the shipping/delivery options you offer.

If you are looking for local pickup or meetup, choose a safe and public location for the exchange, and use a secure payment method. Never disclose your home address or other personal information in your listing.

  8. Links Policy

Do not direct users away from the Slashmarket platform. While we may share links to deals or relevant listings on third-party sites, end users are not allowed to post links, referrals, or promotional content that leads to external e-commerce platforms, social media sites, or personal businesses and websites.

  9. Rares, Collectibles, and Items of Interest

Slashmarket is a platform built for hobbyists and enthusiasts. While not a strict requirement, we encourage sellers to focus on listings that align with this vision, such as niche collectibles, specialty items, or products centered around specific hobbies or interests.
